Providing a full suite of thorough, unbiased, and legally compliant Title IX and civil rights investigations, trainings, and audits for your workplace or educational institution
External Title IX and Civil Rights Investigations
We are available to perform timely, thorough, unbiased, and legally compliant Title IX and civil rights investigations for your workplace or educational institution. We also provide advisor and hearing officer services in these proceedings. We have specialized training and experience in Title VII and IX, and in conducting investigations and hearings in compliance with federal Title IX and Clery Act regulations. In addition, all of our investigations follow the ethical standards and best practices outlined in the Association of Workplace Investigators' Guiding Principles for Conducting Workplace Investigations.
Title IX and Civil Rights Investigation Training
We provide training on a full range of institutional Title IX and civil rights-related topics, including federal guidance, policy development, fact-finding, investigation and hearing procedures, interview skills, and report writing.
Institutional Reviews and Audits
We can review your policies, procedures, and internal Title IX and civil rights compliance structures to ensure they are aligned with the most current legal requirements and best practices, and are best suited to the specific needs and climate of your community.
Training Philosophy
We have experienced that most people learn better by doing rather than being talked at. Therefore, our trainings are a lively mix of interactive and group oriented sessions, lectures which include both question and answer sessions and case scenarios to work through, and independent work activities in which participants read and think through questions and fact patterns and then come together as a group to discuss what they think the findings should be. Report-writing workshops include individual thought and writing time as well as an opportunity to constructively consider and develop each others’ ideas and analysis.
