Jessica Ankley, Law Clerk
Jessica Ankley grew up in the thumb of Michigan and is a second-year law student at Michigan State University College of Law. Before law school, Jessica studied Political Science and Environmental Science at the University of Michigan and graduated in 2019.
Jessica has worked in public interest for many years, including non-profit and private organizations. Her past work history includes regulatory compliance at the University of Michigan, environmental justice through Clean Water Action and the Sierra Club, and public criminal defense.
Jessica deeply cares about helping those that have been unprotected by the law. Throughout her work experience, she has witnessed first-hand the need for strong-willed attorneys to help bring justice for individuals facing financial insecurity, gender discrimination, and institutionalized ableism. With her law degree, Jessica strives to advocate for those negatively impacted by the legal system and fight for equal justice.
