Jillian Snyman, Paralegal
Jillian Snyman graduated in 2019 from Rockford High School in Rockford, Michigan. She is a second-year student at Michigan State University in the College of Social Science and a member of the Honors College. During her time at MSU, Jillian is pursuing a degree in Political Science - Pre Law with a double minor in Law, Justice, and Public Policy as well as Philosophy of Law. She is interested in many areas of law, including sexual violence, immigration, and civil rights.
Jillian has dedicated her academic, professional, and personal efforts to becoming an advocate for those whose voices are not heard. Jillian has always worked to find justice for those who have experienced gender-based discrimination or sexual violence. Her prior experience includes working with the Michigan State Senate Office of Dayna Polehanki as a legislative aide working on constituent relations and research. She works for the Prevention, Outreach, and Education Department as a Peer Educator through Michigan State University and facilitates SARV workshops about sexual assault and prevention to all incoming freshmen. Finally, she serves on the executive board for Kappa Alpha Pi, MSU’s first Pre-Law Professional Fraternity, as the Academic Chair with a focus on mental health facilitation. Jillian is passionate about using her position to help survivors know they are not alone by helping them navigate the legal system.
