Madalynne Kowalik, Law Clerk
Madalynne Kowalik grew up in Kalamazoo, Michigan and is a second-year student at DePaul University College of Law. Prior to law school, Madalynne graduated from Grand Valley State University with a BA in Political Science with a double minor in Human Rights and Middle Eastern Studies. Her studies focused on human rights, civil liberties, and foreign relations.
Madalynne chose to spend much of her free time volunteering with organizations such as Children's Advocacy Center of Kent County, Refugee Education Center and Kids Food Basket. She also spent time working in the House of Representatives. She is interested in many areas of law including civil rights, immigration and domestic violence. Madalynne enjoys participating in service projects in the community. She is currently working with DePaul's Asylum & Immigration Law Clinic, being an advocate of immigrants, refugees and asylum-seekers and collaborating with immigrant-serving nonprofits in Chicago. Madalynne has worked hard, professionally and personally, to be an advocate for underserved and vulnerable populations. She is passionate about working within communities to ensure social justice and equity for everyone.
