Taylor Oxley, Law Clerk
Taylor Oxley is from Middletown, New Jersey, and is a second-year law student at Tulane Law School in New Orleans, Louisiana. She graduated with cum laude honors from Bucknell University in 2021 with B.A.s in Sociology and Psychology, and a minor in Social Justice.
At Bucknell University, Taylor was a javelin thrower on Bucknell University’s Division One Track and Field team, and served as a Captain during her senior season. Outside of athletics, Taylor participated in various activities both on campus and in the surrounding community, including: interning at the Union County Court House, working as a research assistant in Bucknell University’s Psychology Department – researching the prevalence of sexual assault both on Bucknell’s campus and college campuses nationwide, and working as a research assistant in Bucknell University’s Sociology Department – researching healthcare availability in prisons nationwide, with a focus on healthcare availability in the State Correctional Institution in Coal Township, Pennsylvania.
Last summer, Taylor worked as a Judicial Intern in the chambers of the Honorable James L. Dennis at the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Taylor also worked as a research assistant for Professor Blacksher Ranier, the Director of Tulane Law School’s Civil Right and Federal Practice Clinic.
Taylor is currently a member of Tulane Law School’s Sports Lawyers Journal and next fall will be a Student Attorney in Tulane’s Criminal Justice Clinic.
